Shahid and Priyanka as strangers on the sets
Post break-up, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra has again come together for Kunal Kohli’s next. Though on-screen light still sparks between them,off-screen the couple behave like strangers. They even refused to rehearse together.
When the director signed the two, love was at the peak but who knows before the film comes into floor, love would disappear.
“The relationship is over. And though Kunal Kohli had full faith in Shahid and Priyanka’s professionalism, he was wondering what the aftermath of the break up would be for his film. He needn’t have worried. The pair is absolutely professional on camera. It is off-camera that the aloofness between the two becomes easily discernible,” a source told.
Despite, break-up the actors give their best on-camera but as soon as the light switched off, they behave like strangers. Their conversation on the set was very minimal. “The interaction between them is minimal, almost nil. Once they give their shots, they are strangers to one another. Considering the film has essentially two characters- Shahid and Priyanka- running through a gamut of emotions and spectrum of characters, the effort required to share a mutual passion on screen is a task,” added the source.
“The passion onscreen seems to almost mock the lack of feeling between the two off camera,” informed the source.
Hope, despite split-up they can pull the audience with their on-screen chemistry.
Priyanka to romance Shahid in Kunal Kohli’s ambitious project
It seems actress Priyanka Chopra is set to create the old world charm with her looks in Kunal Kohli’s yet-untitled next. A picture of the actress on the sets of the film in Mumbai shows her in a pink fish cut lehenga, a short blouse and Mumtaz-style draped dupatta. She also sports the classic bouffant hairdo, complete with white flowers to add grace, something seen in the movies of 1970s.
If the grapevine is to be believed, Priyanka and Shahid Kapur are expected to play four sets of characters each in the romantic film, the story of which spans four cities.
It seems Priyanka is trying to master the art of playing multiple roles, and carrying different looks in a single film. First she played 12 different roles in “What’s Your Rashee?” and then she was seen in seven looks in Vishal Bharadwaj’s “7 Khoon Maaf”. Currently, she is busy shooting for Kohli’s film with Shahid at the Mehboob Studios and other locations in Mumbai.
Shahid Kapoor Gets Injured On The Sets Of Mausam
This is one day of shoot that Shahid Kapoor and the whole cast and crew of Pankaj Kapoor’s upcoming movie Mausam will never forget. On Saturday night, at the CRPF grounds in Goregaon, where the shoot was taking place, a Ferris-wheel came hurling down towards Shahid injuring his right arm.
Soon after, the car transporting the doctor who came to attend to Shahid rammed into a bike. The calamitous incidences didn’t stop there. On the same very night two lightmen on the sets were injured when a rostrum holding them 70 feet above the ground gave away! Luckily, no one was seriously injured. The crew believes that special forces were at work that day saving all the victims including Shahid, who could have seriously injured his face.
An eyewitness said, “Yes, Shahid is injured and has hurt his right shoulder and arm. But it could’ve been worse. If he hadn’t moved out in time his face would’ve taken the brunt. Pankajji just couldn’t move. He was transfixed staring at his son. Shahid kept assuring everyone he was fine until the doctor arrived.”
Producer Sheetal Talwar said, “It was a nightmare for all of us. And I’d rather not talk about it. Miraculously, Shahid was saved. No, it wasn’t the whole Ferris wheel; just one of the boxes came loose.” Talwar also admits that the doctor attending to Shahid got into an accident while driving back in the star’s vehicle and that the two lightmen fell but got away with minor bruises. Shudders Talwar, “It’s almost like some force was watching over us.”
