Mumbai: At Breach Candy Hospital recently, the actor who has been winning unfathomable applauses and innumerable accolades for his impeccable performance in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ had to undergo an operation under the observation of Dr. Rushad T. Udwadia. Actor Ranbir Kapoor had developed a sebaceous gland-related cyst on his back, and surgeons at the hospital had to remove it.
A close friend of Ranbir spoke about the same and added, “Ranbir has been operated for a sebaceous gland problem. The surgery was minor.”
The actor was up and about in just a few hours, and the surgery did not impede his daily activities. Soon after the surgery, Ranbir came back home, and will be able to resume work whenever he wants to.
Meanwhile, the shoot of ‘Barfi!’ had to cancelled for a few days due to the main leads ailing health. Ilena, Ranbir’s co-star in the film had been down with food poisoning. But Ranbir is free to start work whenever he feels like.
Regarding the cyst and the consequent operation that Ranbir underwent, a doctor who did not wish to be named, said, “Such cysts are not dangerous. But if not removed, they can grow and cause a lot of discomfort. They are formed generally when a sebaceous gland in one`s body gets blocked.”
