Shahid Kapoor caused a storm by reportedly calling Vidya Balan “fat and atrocious” after watching promos of The Dirty Picture. This is the second time Shahid has bad-mouthed his alleged ex-flame – he had earlier made rude comments about Balan a few months after they broke up.
Apparently, harsh words like these spelled the death knell of the Vidya-Shahid relationship. Vidya fell in love with Shahid during the making of Kismet Konnection, but sources say Shahid would constantly compare her to his ex-flames and taunt her about her weight, which left a terrible impact on her self-esteem.
A source says the recent outburst is a result of bitterness and jealousy. “It’s a case of sour grapes. He’s having a tough time with his movies flopping and no success in love, whereas Vidya’s career is soaring and her love life’s going strong with Siddharth Kapoor.”
Shahid’s alleged possessive and dominating behaviour has always disturbed the women in his life. Amrita Rao, Kareena Kapoor and, more recently, Priyanka Chopra have all commented to their friends about his intense and odd behaviour.
The star also fell foul of trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, after the latter posted a comment about Mausam – Shahid’s recent release – failing to live up to expectations at the box office. Shahid shocked everyone by saying: “So all those trying so hard to s**** Mausam can go s**** themselves. Waise bhi aaj kal kuchh logon ke adarsh buri tarah gir chuke hain (Some people’s principles have fallen dramatically these days).” A direct dig at Taran!
Adarsh was quick to respond: “Abusing me won’t help. Instead, get a reality check and introspect shortcomings of the film.”
It does seem that post Kaminey, Shahid’s luck has run out. A source said that maybe it’s time he channellised that energy towards improving his films rather than bad-mouthing others?
Be it his strange typos or tiff with critics, Shahid Kapoor’s twitter has become quite controversial. This time, the actor made headlines after he unfollowed Shah Rukh Khan on the social networking site.
However, Shahid claims he has no clue how it happened and laughed it off. ‘What’s up people …. Read the weirdest story that I had stopped following srk … Only to realize that I actually had …… No clue how. Well he’s back on my follow list …. Was just some random thing people going loony over it !!! Haha,’ he tweeted.
Interestingly, one person who is still missing from Shahid’s list is Priyanka Chopra. This, despite the fact that the two are featuring in Kunal Kohli’s next film.
Shahid later clarified the matter in his twitter, “Well he’s back on my follow list …. Was just some random thing people going loony over it !!! Haha …. (sic),” added the actor.
Shahid, who is very active Twitter, has distanced himself from his rumoured girlfriend and co-actor Priyanka Chopra. Apparently, SRK’s growing closeness to Priyanka was the reason both were off Shahid’s Twitter timeline.
Shahid, who was recently seen in his father’s directorial debut Mausam, is rumoured to be dating Bipasha Basu. But nothing has come out of it.
Did Shah Rukh Khan come between Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor?
That is indeed the big question doing the rounds these days. Apparently, talks have it that Shahid Kapoor wasn’t too comfortable with how close Priiyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan had become, and that was indeed the reason Shahid and Priyanka decided to part ways.
Of late, Shahid Kapoor has unfollowed Shah Rukh and Priyanka on the social micro-blogging site, while Priyanka has unfollowed Shahid Kapoor, whereas Shah Rukh continues to follow them both.
Priyanka Chopra has done some special numbers for SRK in his previous films and now will be seen sharing screen space with the actor in Don 2. PC has also done a special number for SRK in Ra.One. If talks are to be believed, this ‘dosti’ has indeed become a special one, and Shahid isn’t too happy about it.
I hardly drop comments, however I looked at some of the
remarks on Shahid Kapoor and his share of controversies.
